Jonas Söderqvist is the new CEO of Adverty, a Sweden-based video game publisher and developer. In his new role, he will be in charge of all aspects of business operations and strategy for the company which was founded by Fredrik Hjelte just two years ago to bring Nordic gaming experiences to life on mobile devices.
As the firm prepares for its next phase of expansion, Adverty AB has announced the appointment of industry veteran Jonas Söderqvist as its new CEO. The announcement comes after the business announced the appointment of Tobias Knutsson as its new CEO last year. Jonas will bring the team together behind a new vision, allowing Adverty to expand on its previous accomplishments and prepare for an influx of interest in in-game ad executions.
Jonas Söderqvist has worked in the sector for more than two decades, including four years as Director at PubMatic. Pubmatic is a sell-side platform for publishers that includes omni-channel revenue automation technologies. During his time with Mediakompaniet, MTV, Smartclip, Specific Media, YuMe, TV3, and Metro, he has concentrated on sales and management for both publishers and sales houses.
Jonas Söderqvist remarked on his hiring as CEO of Adverty:
I’ve been on the Adverty board for two years and have always watched the company carefully — as a customer, as a platform, as a board member, and now as CEO. I’m very pleased of how far we’ve come. This company’s employees are continually listening and learning. Now is the moment to rally our troops, educate industry professionals about our tools and how to utilize them, and go ahead as a team even more effectively.
With over 3 billion players worldwide, the in-game advertising market is reaching new heights, and global mobile gaming ad spend is estimated to reach $131 billion by 2025. It’s also drawing major businesses, thanks to the incredibly compelling outcomes of clever advertisements. Jonas added the following:
Advertisers and businesses have yet to completely comprehend the actual potential of available inventory. This is where we enter the picture. All of our talks with brands and buyers suggest that there is interest, but there is also some trepidation about transferring spending away from established channels. Given the huge potential of in-game advertising, this is a mistake. Because of this strength, several of our customers have launched over 15 campaigns with us. Their achievements back up their confidence.
Chairman of the Adverty board, Joachim Roos, also added:
We are thrilled to have Jonas as our new CEO. We know Jonas’ knowledge in this area will help us and our partners capitalize on the great potential in this market since we’ve worked with him for the previous two years. We’re here to assist marketers and companies in realizing their full potential and taking advantage of the early adopter advantage. The opportunities for marketers to maximize creativity and give value to consumers are endless as forward-thinking firms begin to invest in gaming. Brands have the option to own this area at their discretion. It’s now or never!
With several strategic agreements, Adverty has been expanding its wings in the in-game advertising market. Super League Gaming, Adsmovil, Livewire, Smart, TapNation, and Mamboo Games are among their most recent agreements. Following its ABD Audit Validation last year, Adverty was also awarded the TAG Brand Safety Seal.
