Intel, Others Announce Switch to Virtual for CES 2022 Due to COVID-19

CES is one of the most important events in the gaming industry. In its second year, CES has not been able to live up to what it used to be with a lack of major announcements and lackluster press conferences.

The “ces 2022 exhibitor list” is a list of companies that will be exhibiting at CES 2022. The list was released by Intel and others.

Many are reconsidering their attendance at CES 2022 in Las Vegas because to the recent increase of COVID-19 in the United States. Intel has declared that it would mostly move to virtualization.

Intel’s plans for CES will shift to a digital-first live experience with limited on-site workers after engaging with health experts and following Intel’s safety policy. Intel’s executives want you to participate since the business will be streaming all of its CES material and events live on the Intel Newsroom.

Others, such as Lenovo, have said they would not go at all or will go virtual.

Waymo, a self-driving vehicle company, is also moving to virtual reality.

23 DECEMBER 2021 UPDATE: Waymo has taken the tough choice not to attend CES 2022 in person because to rapidly escalating COVID-19 infection rates. We want to participate in various CES-related activities remotely. Our co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana and our Global Head of Public Policy Michelle Peacock will appear at multiple virtual panel discussions with the Female Quotient, the official equality partner of CES 2022, as part of our Self-Driven Women series.

Our team’s safety and well-being are paramount to us, and this difficult choice was made with that in mind. Once this recent rush has subsided, our team will continue to plan effective, entertaining, and safe events so that our key audiences and stakeholders can get a taste of Waymo.

T-Mobile has said that it would no longer be attending, but that it will continue to support the event and the DRL Championship Race. Mike Sievert, the company’s CEO, has canceled his keynote address.

T-Mobile has taken the tough choice to dramatically reduce our in-person presence at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show after considerable deliberation and debate. While we are confident that CES organizers are taking all necessary precautions to safeguard in-person guests, and we have numerous preventive policies in place as well, we have made the choice to prioritize the safety of our employees and other participants. T-Mobile will continue to be a CES sponsor as well as the title sponsor of the DRL Championship Race, although the bulk of our staff will not be in Las Vegas. T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert will also no longer give a major speech, either in person or digitally. The whole T-Mobile team is looking forward to attending CES 2023 in person, which we hope will include an on-stage keynote in front of a live audience. “While we just got 42 exhibitor cancellations (less than 7% of our show floor), we’ve recruited 60 new exhibitors for our in-person event since last Thursday,” a spokesperson told The Verge. AMD, LG, NVIDIA, Samsung, and Sony will all be there, although in a diminished capacity. To decrease possible virus exposure, some are exploring a hybrid method that alternates virtual and in-person activities.
