Hitman 2 was released in 2018 to much fanfare as the follow-up to its predecessor. Playstation, Xbox and PC platforms were all available for gamers who wanted more of Agent 47s adventures.
The “hitman 2 levels” is a list of the level rankings for Hitman 2. The guide also includes information about how to unlock all of them.
I just completed the trilogy, and here is my order of preference, from best to worst.
- Sapienza has rekindled my interest in the series. The sheer variety of methods to accomplish this is amazing, and Italian towns are the most comfortable setting ever. Perfection.
- Mendoza: It’s a first for Hitman to have an accomplice on the level with you. We’ve seen Smith and Mei Ling previously, but this is a different situation. The planned, story-based technique is great, and the sniper method is equally entertaining. It’s also a lovely site. Maybe after the rosies come off, I’ll change my mind, but for now, this is no. 2.
- Berlin: From a strictly gameplay standpoint, this is by far the greatest. This level is a lot of fun, and there are a lot of various SA/SO runs to choose from. This is also the nu-Hitman that comes closest to the gloomy Contracts vibe.
- Hokkaido is a fantastic locale, and thwarting Soders’ heart transplant is one of the series’ most unusual deaths. As a level, it’s a little limited, but it’s still in my top five.
- Dubai: I consider it to be a better version of Paris. It’s a fantastic first level, with a nice setting and a variety of clean methods to accomplish it.
- Miami: For obvious reasons, this is fantastic. The only reason it isn’t higher is because the killings are staged set pieces rather than natural.
- Paris is a fantastic start to the trilogy.
- Chongqing It’s difficult to assign a score to this one. The setting is, without a doubt, the best representation of a cyberpunk metropolis in video games. The problem is that both objectives are ensconced in tediously well-guarded fortifications, preventing you from interacting with the city. I don’t like the forced escape section either, although you may avoid it on subsequent plays. As the dust settles, this may drop in the rankings.
- Dartmoor: Fantastic idea, but abysmal execution. To sell it, it required a more engaging mystery and a Poirot-style concluding scene with all the suspects gathering around. It would have been extremely anticlimactic if it hadn’t been for that. Still, it’s a commendable attempt.
- Haven Island is a simple yet enjoyable level. Doesn’t add anything new.
- New York: While some people like this one, I found it to be constraining. Though I haven’t thoroughly studied it and may give it a better rating after more replays.
- Hawke’s Bay (Hawkes Bay): This is an excellent teaching level, and I wish there were more of these short and sweet levels in nu-Hitman. Underrated.
- Whittleton Creek: I didn’t care for H2, and the Blood Money analogies were starting to grate on my nerves. It was tiresome for me.
- ICA training facility: Good instructional levels, but not much more to say.
- Santa Fortuna: It’s too huge, and it doesn’t do anything that hasn’t already been done.
- Sgail: It does not appeal to me. I’m not a fan of the plot of nu-Hitman, and the illuminati hanging around in a true medieval castle on an island while wearing fucking robes is a little excessive, let’s be honest. To be honest, it makes me cringe. Killing the real targets is also a chore.
- Mumbai: A good concept, but a bad execution. It’s not at all enjoyable to do.
- Marrakesh: Great concept, bad execution.
- Bangkok: It’s a shambles.
- Colorado: Holy crap, it looks like it was created in a level editor.
