The Lost Island expansion for Ark: Survival Evolved is set in a new zone with tons of new weapons and items to find. One such item you will definitely come across while exploring the island are metals, which can be sold on the Steam Market or used to upgrade weapons (or your house!)
The “ark: survival evolved pc” is a multiplayer game that has been released for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. In the Lost Island expansion, players will find metal in certain locations.
Having a consistent supply of metal on hand is essential in all of Ark: Survival Evolved’s settings, particularly for improving your tools, weapons, and armor, as well as being a critical manufacturing material. Good ore resources (together with obsidian and crystal) are often found in hilly places, with smaller amounts derived from smooth river rocks or as a tiny trade-off from stone and flint mining.
Although the big snowy mountain that dominates the northern part of the map has relatively few metal sources, here are a few ideas on some of the better spots to discover ore aplenty in the current Lost World update. You may, ahem, take your selection.
In Lost Island, you may find metal for early improvements.

If you spawn at the Easy spot in the map’s north-western corner, the best course of action is to follow the shoreline to the east (ensuring a ready supply of water and a good eye line on any lurking predators). When you start climbing the hill towards the Blue Obelisk, you’ll uncover a good amount of metal ore, which you may harvest to enhance your basic toolkit swiftly. Check your map or GPS device for coordinates; 22.5, 31.4 is a nice place to start, with a natural track climbing up the mountain from the northeast shore.

If you continue east along the coast, right before the major inlet, you’ll discover plenty of decent sources in the middle northern hills. There’s a lot of ore just up the hill to the east, so it’s definitely worth setting up camp around the metal located at 19.6, 50.8. (20.8, 51.5). If you wanted to ascend the mountain to the west, there’s more farther inland, with one such site around 20.6, 46.7 having some crystal adjacent up the hill, as well as a smaller peak to the west of this around 23.6, 44.0.

The fissure that separates the snow-capped mountains from the two volcanos you’ll see off to the northwest is a near-literal goldmine of ore, crystal, and obsidian after you’ve earned the gear to fend off some of the hardest dinos (including Wyverns). Entering from the north, 26.0, 60.0 starts an excellent mining region, however the mountains themselves aren’t as productive. If you approach from the south, you’ll get off to a good start at 33.7, 67.0 — but be prepared to fight like hell for it.

If you’d rather avoid the heat and roaming Magmasaurs around the volcanoes, head over the water to the cooler far-eastern mountain, where there’s a good haul to be mined around the rocks at 23.0, 76.1, with several more spots in the hills as you round the coastline, so it might be worth setting up camp here.

In Lost Island, you may find more metal ore sources.
As you go south, the options become more limited until you reach the center island’s southern sections. To the east, at 48.2, 75.8, there’s a decent site to replenish supplies, with another good supply at 58.1, 72.6.

You’ll discover a few deposits on your way down the center of the island (such as 52.6, 51.5, and a great place in the forest at 56.3, 58.5), but nothing really worth sleeping near until you reach the southern highlands. The mountain to the east of the Green Obelisk (topping out at 63.4, 60.6) is your best bet for finding metal and crystal, but the mountain to the west (66.2, 47.7) also offers plenty.

The big island to the west of the map offers a lot of ore, particularly at its south-eastern peak (such as 71.6, 28.3) and extending down the foothills to the sea — with the region about 74.0, 29.0 being a useful source if you wanted to clear the trees and construct another coastal refuge.

There’s enough metal to create an absolute stronghold around the peaks to the east if you make the journey/flight through Scorched Earth’s far-southern deserts, with crystal and obsidian also in plentiful supply. The enormous lake serves as a gorgeous foundation, while the neighboring mountains are brimming with valuable resources. The flatter peaks to the east are as beautiful, but many locations are unreachable on foot, thus a flying mount is suggested.

In short, stick to the northern regions of the island until you’re completely supplied, and then expect sparse pickings until you’ve reached the bottom half of the map.
