The new expansion for Elden Ring is coming, and this guide will help you prepare your character to face the challenges ahead. Here are some guidelines to get you started!
If you are looking to take on the Fire Giant in Elden Ring, there are a few things that you should do before taking on this quest. It is important to know your weaknesses and prepare for battle.
By the time you reach the Fire Giant, you should be well on your way to completing the game. There are still many obstacles to overcome, but you are on the verge of completing your quest to become the Elden Lord. You may be wondering whether conquering the Fire Giant has any implications, and we can’t say too much without giving anything away.
Keep in mind that the remainder of the post will discuss what occurs at the conclusion of the game, thus MAJOR SPOILER WARNING to anybody who doesn’t want to know anything about Elden Ring’s endgame. We’ll tell you all you need to know if you’re afraid about missing anything following the Fire Giant encounter.
When it comes to conquering the Fire Giant, there are a few things you must accomplish first. Explore Leyndell, the Royal Capital, and the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, kill the neighboring NPC invaders, locate the Bolt of Gransax, finish the Dung Eater’s questline, and level up to roughly Level 130-140.
It’s important to remember that destroying the Fire Giant won’t result in any significant changes. It is what you do after that that causes the world to change. What we can suggest is that you should climb to the top of the massive chalice and relax at the Grace Site. After then, unless you want to start the next phase of the game, don’t speak to Melina.
Before you meet the Fire Giant, there are a few things you should accomplish.
We said we’d include spoilers in this page, so essentially, if you fight the Fire Giant, Leyndell will be coated in ash when you commit the Cardinal Sin after speaking with Melina. It will lead you to the Crumbling Farum Azula, from whence you may continue. It will lock you out of a few things and cause you to lose track of a lot of crucial information.
Just try not to defeat the Fire Giant until you’ve completed everything. You can lose out on a crucial mission or combat that can only be completed after a fresh game is started. You won’t be able to go back after you’ve unlocked the bowl and defeated the Giant, and you’ll be sorry you didn’t wait.
Before confronting the Fire Giant in Elden Ring, there are six things you need do:
1. Visit the Royal Capital of Leyndell.
If you didn’t know, the whole city of Leyndell is blanketed in ash after you slay the Fire Big and commit the Cardinal Sin at the top of the giant bowl. Except for the subterranean part, you lose access to the whole city, so be sure to explore everything you can before conquering the Fire Giant.
You’ll have to wait for another game to receive everything from that place if you don’t investigate it. You also lose access to a number of upgrade materials, so if you want more, explore the whole city area before it is destroyed. It will also do rid of several optional bosses, so take advantage of it now before it’s too late.
2. Go underground to the Shunning Grounds.
Because it is the previously described subterranean section, it is not as essential as exploring the city above this location. After the city has been covered, you will have access to it, although it is generally advisable to explore the region first. Accepting the Frenzied Flame before committing the Cardinal Sin also allows you to watch a new cinematic at the conclusion of the game.
Keep in mind that accepting the Frenzied Flame will prevent you from accessing any endings save the Frenzied Flame Ending. It’s also a challenging place that’s simpler to reach if you prevent the city from being blanketed in snow. Simply attempt to complete all of your tasks in the city before confronting him.
3. Defeat the invading NPCs in the area
The Mountaintops of the Giants are surrounded by a swarm of NPC invaders. Apparently, a couple of the NPCs do not respawn after the Fire Giant is defeated, so make sure you beat them before they go forever. They provide you with some excellent gear and equipment, so it is well worth your time to beat each and every one of them.
We’re not sure which ones don’t spawn, but we know there are at least a couple that don’t. We can advise you to locate all of the NPC invasion sites and defeat them all. You won’t be able to miss them if you beat them all since you’ll already have their goods. Simply ensure that you beat as many as possible.
4. Locate Gransax’s Bolt
There are Legendary weapons in the game, in case you didn’t know. Curved swords to greatswords are among them. One of these weapons is Gransax’s Bolt. To get the Legendary Armament achievement, you’ll need a spear. If you want to accomplish all of the game’s achievements, you’ll need it.
You will lose access to this weapon after the city is blanketed in ash, unless you restart the game. It’s perched atop the colossal dragon spear in the heart of the city. All you have to do now is locate the spear’s point and work your way up. The Bolt of Gransax will ultimately appear on the weapon itself. It’s just a matter of picking it up.
5. Finish the Dung Eater’s Quest.
Another thing to do with the subterranean space is this. We’re not suggesting you’ll miss out on the rest of the quest if you fight the Fire Giant, but it’ll be a lot simpler because you’ll be in the subterranean region anyhow. It’s a strange questline in which you must exercise caution. Don’t kill the Dung Eater if you come across him in the sewers.
You will get his armor, but you will be unable to complete the remainder of the mission. Simply complete the mission while exploring the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. It isn’t the longest questline, but it does unlock a different ending at the conclusion of the game. Make sure you don’t take the Frenzied Flame if you want any other endings.
6. Raise your level to roughly 130-140.
Most objects in the game don’t have a suggested level, but until you reach to the finish, you’ll need to be ready for anything. You should be at a pretty high level if you have accomplished everything else on this list. To battle the Fire Giant with a reasonable challenge, we suggest that you be at least Level 130.
When you have to spend hours and hours on a boss battle and still don’t go anywhere, it’s not very enjoyable. You will have a greater chance of beating bosses faster if your level is higher. Furthermore, if you have a lower level, the following region you visit will not be nice to you. The game just gets tougher from there, so be prepared for anything.
